Combining true mountain charm with modern comforts, this beautifully renovated farmhouse is the perfect place to enjoy an active mountain holiday far from the hustle and bustle of busy mountain resorts.
And when you return to Chalet Keramis at the end of the day, you can choose to relax in the hot tub, watch a film in the cinema room, or catch up with friends in front of the fire. If you're visiting in the summer, you can chill out in the swimming pool, with wonderful views over the valley and mountains.
The chalet is situated in La Rivière-Enverse, near the village of Morillon, in the heart of the Grand Massif ski area. You can drive to Morillon ski lift in ten minutes, and it's a couple of minutes more to Samoens. In the summer, there are wonderful walks and bike trails to explore, as well as the Sixt Fer a Cheval national park.
About the property ...
There's plenty of room for up to 15 guests in this charming farmhouse, with seven bedrooms arranged over three floors.
The main entrance on the ground floor leads you in to the beautiful open plan living area. Original timber beams and a central fireplace make this a really cosy space, while huge windows frame the stunning mountain views. Comfortable leather sofas are arranged in front of the fire, and there's a bar area and a large dining table where you can all get together over a meal. The kitchen has all the equipment you need to cook for a crowd, including a range cooker and a separate oven and three sinks.
Doors from the living room open onto the hot tub terrace, where you can relax in the warm bubbles under a starry sky. On the other side of the living room there's another terrace with a dining table - the perfect place to relax after a day of activities.
There are two family suites on this floor, both of which have en suite bathrooms with a bath and a separate shower. The first suite has a double bedroom with a kingsize bed and the second suite also has a kingsize bed.
On the top floor you'll find another family suite with a room which has a kingsize bed. These rooms share a large bathroom with a free-standing bath and separate shower, and the double room has a door to the balcony. There are two more rooms on this floor, both of which have kingsize beds. They both have bathrooms with separate showers and doors to a shared balcony.
All of the beds will be made up for you with quality bed linen to ensure a great night's sleep, and fluffy towels and luxury Nuxe toiletries await you in the bathrooms.
Younger guests will appreciate the cosy TV room on this floor, with a games console. There's also a TV room and games room with a pool table and table football on the lower ground floor, you will also find a selection of toys for younger children to enjoy.
After a day exploring the wonderful mountain area around Chalet Keramis, you can return via the ski entrance on the lower ground floor - this will take you straight in to the ski room, where you can leave your outdoor equipment and pop your boots on the heated rack, ready for your next excursion. There's also a useful utility room down here and a separate toilet.
There's parking outside the chalet, including a covered space for one car and an electric charging point.
About the area ...
Chalet Keramis is situated in the tiny hamlet of La Rivière-Enverse, a short drive from the village of Morillon, which has several popular restaurants, and the ski station of Samoens.
Both villages have ski lifts, which give you access to the superb Grand Massif ski area, which also takes in the resorts of Flaines, Les Carroz and Sixt-Fer-a-Cheval - 265km of pistes suitable for all levels, outstanding panoramic views and a great snow record.
In the summer, there's great hiking and biking in the mountains, as well as watersports on the Giffre river. The Lac Bleu leisure area, just outside Morillon, is a great day out for families - there's a beach area for swimming as well as horse-riding, treetop adventure area, Segway, electric skateboards and much more. Youngsters can enjoy the pump track, play areas, inflatables and trampolines, and trout fishing is free for those staying in the area.
The village of Sixt-Fer-a-Cheval, less than 20 minutes drive away, is worth a visit - one of the most beautiful villages in France, it's set in a natural amphitheatre of high limestone cliffs. It's also the start of some great white-water rafting and home to a via ferrata course.

In the heart of the Giffre valley and the Grand Massif, the charming village of Morillon has easy access to 265km of skiing, with something for all abilities.
If you’re looking for noisy aprés ski and places to party, it may not be for you, but it’s a great choice for families, who will appreciate the activities and great child care at the Village des Enfants.
There are some bars and restaurants in Morillon, with more in nearby resorts, and at less than an hour from Geneva airport, it has everything you need for a carefree mountain holiday.

Chalet Keramis is an 18th century three-storey farmhouse which has been converted to provide comfortable accommodation for up to 15 guests.
It's a great holiday base for a group of several families or a large family gathering, with several of the bedrooms arranged as family suites, each with their own bathroom. There's plenty for younger guests to enjoy here too, with three TV areas and a well-equipped games room.
A lot of thought has been put into catering for a large group - there's a dishwasher, gas range cooker and a separated electric oven, and two separate sinks so that food prep and dishwashing can be shared.
You'll need a car when you stay at Chalet Keramis, and if you're visiting in the winter, you'll need winter tyres or snow chains. However, the quiet location will be a real bonus for some, and the views are stunning - why not enjoy the sunset from the hot tub? Summer evenings around the swimming pool are just lovely, and the loungers on the pool deck are the perfect place to while away a lazy day with a book.

Whether you are visiting with family or friends, for work or a holiday, you can spend your days walking in this breathtaking mountain area, enjoying sociable meals with friends, and quiet days reading or playing games together.
But you will also have the opportunity to relax in the hot tub or, in summer, in the pool with a wonderful 360 degree view of the mountains.
Situated in a peaceful hamlet at an altitude of 800m, this is a spacious property just 10 minutes drive from the ski slopes.
